Always start cleaning with your vents. Vent covers on the walls, floors and ceilings should be taken off to arrive at the area where the duct is. Aside from that reason, vent covers are taken off to remove the dust. Vent covers are customized collectors of household dust. Dust, fallen hairs and other impurities that were stuck in the air ducts gets blown whenever the furnace starts to work. Some of these impurities get caught in grills. You can easily remove the vent covers by using a screwdriver to loosen out the screw that attaches them and place them on the floors covered out by used magazines or old newspapers.
